This week was our last swimming lesson at the Manurewa Pools. We have been focusing on WATER SAFETY SKILLS during these lessons. While the instructors asked us to demonstrate some of the skills we learned, one of them was standing outside the pool taking assessment notes. Our teacher was very impressed with how we have been trying our best during our Prize Giving  practises.  We sat up and listened attentively to what the teachers were teaching us. These last two weeks we also revisited our Class Treaty, PRIDE values and discussions on ATTENDANCE and PUNCTUALITY. We have all agreed here to work as a team and continue to do what is right. This week was yet another busy one. On Monday we acknowledged all the students who have attended school 100% of the time in Term 3. It was wonderful to see the overall improvement in our students attendance - there were quite a lot of students who went on stage to receive their attendance certificates. On Tuesday we went to the hall for the Duffy Theatre. It was a great show and they were so funny. The most important message we learned from the show was "knowing how to read will help us tremendously with everything we encounter in our lives" On Friday, we wore black and white to school to show our support for our Learning Support Staff. We are behind you Whaea Geneva and all the other Rowandale Support Staff. Every Friday morning we look forward to Footsteps Dancing with our Footsteps instructor. With everything else that was going on, our learning continued as always. Have a great weekend everyone and rest up be
